The preparation for Veneers is minimal and should not extend the enamel layer of the   tooth. The veneers are ‘bonded’ to he enamel surface of the tooth with adhesive cement or composite. Minimal invasive ‘Lumineers’ do not require any preparation as they are ultra-thin.
